Vision Statement:

It is our dream to create a healthy growing church that ministers to the needs of the Brooklyn area.

It is our dream of being a center for spiritual, physical, and emotional healing in the community.

It is our dream to create a place where people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and follow Him as disciples.

It is our dream to develop business leaders, school leaders, and spiritual leaders for the next millennium.

It is our dream to create an atmosphere that is appealing to the community.

It is our dream to prepare the people of Brooklyn for the Second Advent of Jesus, the hope of our lives.

 

Mission Statement:
Making fully devoted disciples for Jesus.

Purpose Statement:
We exist to reach our community with Everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ. To give people a greater view of Jesus Christ by being witnesses, worshippers, and willing servants to them.

Core Values:

1. Outreaching: “Go” (Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8) “Tell others” Extending God’s love and hope by sharing Jesus to all the people that New Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church can reach.

2. Disciple making: “Make Disciples” (Matthew 28:19)
Growing in our relationship with Jesus through Bible study, prayer, and following Jesus’ example.

3. Passionate Worship: “Love the Lord your God” (Matthew 22:37) Experiencing God through heartfelt worship, and making His voice clear from the Bible.

4. Serving: “Love your neighbor” (Matthew 22:39) (Matthew 5:13-16) Using our talents and gifts faithfully for the Lord, and to touch the lives of those in our community.

5. Relationship building: “Love one another” (1 John 3:11) (Luke 15) Building safe places to love one another, our friends who need Jesus, and those needing help.

6. Healing: “Bear one another’s burdens.” (Galatians 6:2)
Touching hurting people with compassionate care giving, and extending God’s love across cultural dividing lines.

7. Heavenly Focused: “What really matters to God.” (Titus 2:13) Keeping the vision of the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

8. Leadership building: “Equipping God’s people to do His work” (Ephesians 4:11-13) Equipping God’s people to lead and serve according to their gifts for the purpose of building up God’s kingdom and the church.
